Wow! Thank you so much for including me in the conversation with Lynne Twist. As a former volunteer and staff member at The Hunger Project UK, I was deeply touched by Lynne's powerful story. It was the first time I'd heard how she discovered the connection between preserving rainforest and indigenous cultures, and preventing hunger (rather than remediating it). A key learning for me was to use money for nurturing love, rather than trying to gain security from things I fear.

I was touched by the moving sharing by Lynne about the many internal struggles she went through while being a working mother and the peace she found by having given herself to the cause she was called for.

I was brought to tears by her answer to the final question. It resonated deeply within me and allowed me to clarify among all the things I care about what my true touchstone is. I was fascinated by how once introduced to money for necessary use outside the community, it took concerted effort to prevent monied transactions, and a transactional way of relating, to 'infect' culture inside the community. Just shows how seductive and addictive things like efficiency, certainty, and separation can be, all of which money empowers.

She was so lit up with purpose, it was a beautiful sight to see. She also expressed her conflicted feelings about moving forward on her calling as a mother, as a leader. It is difficult to shift gears like she did so many times. I love the visions she had much like some of my journeys, so I could relate to her on so many levels. Though humble, she showed beautiful balanced power and clarity. My heart is full.

Her story of how she was called to Ecuador. I am also called to Ecuador, have been there and would love to be more involved. Thank you for being so inspiring.

Listening to one's voice, however it speaks. Not yielding to the resistance of the world and culture. Gently plowing forward through the soil of daily life.

A key learning for me was ...

I need to do more service. I have on my bookshelf the quote Charles Gibbs read by Shaw that Lynne has on her mantelpiece.

The importance and difference of taking a stand vs having a position. I really appreciated the ideas about how what we take a stand for informs everything we do. And likewise how seeing that everyone had a valid position based on the factors of their lives and I don't have to be opposed to it. But simply come to it with a higher view perspective that includes all.

Position versus taking a stand. I really loved hearing that broken down ... made so much sense.

Framing my reactions from fear to scarcity and taking a stand, not a position.

The difference between positions and stands. It was such a powerful metaphor to use a theater stage. I FELT the understanding that we believe what we perceive, and perceive from our viewpoint, that is shaped by our position. Which is from a placement, not the whole space. I have known our worldview is only a lens, yet upon hearing Lynne's theater metaphor, of then rising up above it all to be able to take a stand. That ability allows to understand how we can be so locked into our own worldview while comprehending others are also. It shifts the dynamic of polarities.

Even during very hard times in our lives - like her Malaria sickness - we can find our inner core and rise stronger than before.

To start allowing money to flow like water and not let it stagnate. This is a refreshing way to look at money for me. I hope that I can allow this new perspective to change the way I deal with money

Embrace ALL the souls, and never miss an opportunity to be codependent instead of transactional in my relationships.

How to live the quote by George Bernard Shaw that Charles Gibbs shared which he had read in Lynne's home which is still on her mantle.

What is up for me to do along these same lines given that I'm a couple of years older than Lynne and know I won't be around forever.

How to support self-trust in how I am being guided to serve.

Ways to live in and create more energy of sufficiency around me. With appreciation, to Lynne and all in the ServiceSpace team for the open welcoming environment to learn ways to help our neighbors and the earth.

How to integrate the concepts and principles discussed in today's talk regarding the soul of money into my own life. More specifically my desire to create a thriving community that operates on those principles.

With the world marching towards war, power over, blame, fear, inequity and permeating falsehood, how can I, we, live in a way holding the values of what was shared today?
