If science gives us objective Truth, or the “it” of Spirit, and morals give us the Good, or the “we” of Spirit, then Beauty—which is in the “eye” of the beholder—helps open us to the “I” of Spirit. [...]

Think of the most beautiful person you have ever seen. Think of the exact moment you looked into his or her eyes, and for a fleeting second you were paralyzed: you couldn’t take your eyes off that vision. You stared, frozen in time, caught in that beauty. Now imagine that identical beauty radiating from every single thing in the entire universe: every rock, every plant, every animal, every cloud, every person, every object, every mountain, every stream—even the garbage dumps and broken dreams— every single one of them, radiating that beauty. You are quietly frozen by the gentle beauty of everything that arises around you. You are released from grasping, released from time, released from avoidance, released altogether into the eye of Spirit, where, you contemplate the unending beauty of the Art that is the entire World.

That all-pervading Beauty is not an exercise in creative imagination. It is the actual structure of the universe. That all-pervading Beauty is in truth the very nature of the Kosmos right now. It is not something you have to imagine, because it is the actual structure of perception in all domains. If you remain in the eye of Spirit, every object is an object of radiant Beauty. If the doors of perception are cleansed, the entire Kosmos is your lost and found Beloved, the Original Face of primordial Beauty, forever, and forever, and endlessly forever. And in the face of that stunning Beauty, you will completely swoon into your own death, never to be seen or heard from again, except on those tender nights when the wind gently blows through the hills and the mountains, quietly calling your name.

Seed Questions for Reflection

How do you relate to the notion of every object being an object of radiant beauty in the eye of Spirit? Can you share a personal story of a time you felt the radiant "Beauty" of everything around you? What helps you see the all-pervading "Beauty" around you?

I believe beauty surrounds us. There is beauty in my children's presence, in the flowers of my balcony, in the songs I listen. I mostly have experienced beauty in connectedness with people. It's beautiful when they see me or I get glance of them.

Forthe first timeever I attended theWednesday's Awakin circle and Ican't describehow I felt. Such a wonderful and beautifulsoul, gatheredaround to createpositive vibrations. Every minute that I spent there was beautiful. The sound of silence which I heardbefore, butconnected to deeply, was beautiful. We heard so many times that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. But what I saw from closed eyes was ultimate :) I have so much to tell that I will prefer to be quite.

As a musician I think one of the extraordinary gifts we humans have created for ourselves is music. We derive a great deal of our identity from something that has no physical reality. Music is like a vast projection onto space itself and yet it creates and reflectsa moral (intentional) reality unique to each differing culture.
To me it's no mere coincidence that the greatest music of the just about every faith tradition has been written in praise of the creator spirit; for it has always been that when we align ourselves with the wordless reality music expresses we can reach a state of transcendencethat is akin to spiritual ecstasy.

Fundamentally Beauty is all pervading .Its a question of our own cleansed conscious,head-mind-soul.The entire universe is just, fair and beautiful fascinatingly. It's our responsibility with ownership, earnest desire and honest efforts to realise the same by going deep within & without. The third eye between the eyebrows opens the doors to our innate Spirit, radient light and the Anhad sound .

The concept of "the beauty in everything" resonates deeply with me. ihave reached the same conclusion by exploring other roads ... and have explored complementary views in a book (in Spanish) titled "The Ultimate Adventure: Awareness of Reality". It explores in a humble but not timid way the inherent nature of "reality" ... of the universe, light-energy-matter, ourselves, everything... in simple language (as a "lay" person), but integrating many scientific findings and quoting several Nobel Prize winnersin Physics, to strengthen the fascinating, mind-boggling facts about the oneness of everything, the presence of light (EM waves) as part of the intrinsic nature of every creature and object, and the importance of "transcendental consciousness" as a tool to get a glimpse at the unbelievable reality in which we are all immersed...

Beauty is a virtue. Everything beautiful in the world, that is, mountains, white sandy beaches, flowers, birds, butterflies, plants, cities, women, kids, etc, makes a person profoundly happy, complete, and sense of belonging to some virtuous place in the universe. On the other hand, being among ugly things everyday can make a person very depressed and can cause even death through severe depression. Ugly looking things represent all the negatives in live. Women are beautiful! I cherish all the beautiful things God created that is why I transitioned into a beautiful girl!!!! That is a deep spiritual side of me.

It's the same every night yet of different essence/feel according to the seasons. I sit in my Porch where I'm surrounded by my hanging pots andmorning glory vine. I have a wonderful view of my side yard which includes a Pine and Mulberry tree and I feel their presence as a feeling emanating from each of them, and this feeling is apeaceful patient beauty to me and I am part of yet I can stand aside contemplatin them and me.. It brings me deep strange thoughts of the nature and cause of them and me . Im

"Beauty indeed lies in the eye of the beholder" but its perception as with anything viewed, is derived in the brain. Perceiving every object as energy has been the key for my developing elation for it.

Last year when I was in Bali, I was in awe of its natural beauty. Especially when I went to a rice farm, I had a chance to see multiple rainbows and the trees were radiating energy. It felt like beauty was growing out of the earth and merging with the sky. I was really grateful for the beauty and the opportunity for me to experience it. On reflection, I also felt that it made me kinder, gentler, more generous and patient during the time I was in Bali and I am sure experience the magnificence was the reason for softening of my behavior.

Ken Wilber's passage reminds me of the song sung by a saint: "By losing myself I found myself." When the ego creates the world of this and that, mine and and thine, beauty and ugliness, the world of oneness and wholeness is cracked. It closes and blocks the Internal Eye, the Spiritual Eye, which sees the all-pervading, unending radiant beauty. Every thing is the manifestation of the Radiant Beauty- the all-pervading Divine Presence. I feel the presence of Divinity when I let go of the grip of the grasping ego. When I am aware of the ego -created boundaries of separation I feel the presence of the Radiant Beauty in nature and in sentient beings. Daily practice of meditation and mindfulness open the door of my heart. I feel at home even though physically I may not be at home.I become intimate with me, with nature and the people with me and around me. As mentioned before, loving awareness, meditation and mindful living help me to see the all-pervading "Beauty". T... View full comment

All that is, every plant, animal, person, and object, is an expression of and manifestation of God, so I know each one is the radiant beauty of Spirit. During the moments that I abide in that knowing I feel the radiant beauty of everything around me. Such times have happened in and immeditely following intimate being present with, sharing with, relationship with another or with nature. What helps me see the all pervading beauty around me, when I do, is living and seeing from the foundation that all creation is sacred, all creation is God incarnate.
