Having suffered under a physically abusive marriage for 10 years, she learned about and now transmits the power of yoga.
We'll post the transcript of the call soon, but till then, some of the nuggets that stood out from the call ...
- She found out that words can be very powerful, especially when said in a way that is not loving. She grew up with an older brother who was abusive with the names he called her, and then found herself in an even more abusive marriage. The negativity was tied into her perception of herself, both physically and emotionally. Until one day "a song came to me - am I ready Lord, If I am ready Lord let it be." which was followed by the issuance of extreme power and strength that poured over her, creating a protective energetic wall around her and her son. "That was the start of me loving myself. I had no fear in moving forward."
- On her primary Yoga Teacher... "He taught that Breath is the Temple of Life. You can do anything when you remember to breathe. Be quiet. Listen to god/spirit’s guidance. You get out of the realm of fear when listening to spirit. I didn’t have to be in defensive mode when connected to Power within. He taught me how to release fear, to be one with people, how to love people. Everybody has the Christ within, the Holy Spirit working within them."
Lots of gratitude to all the behind-the-scenes volunteers that made this call happen!
