Seed Questions for Reflection

How do you relate to the notion that "the journey from the mind to the heart is not a journey of distance but of surrender" - and what does it mean to you, in your own inner life, to arrive somewhere not by becoming smarter but by becoming softer? Can you share a personal story of a moment when you felt your mind step back and your heart step forward - perhaps in an act of forgiveness, or deep listening, or a humble offering that asked for nothing in return - and what shifted in you because of it? What helps you tend to the qualities the passage describes as quietly blossoming - the gratitude that asks for nothing, the kindness that expects nothing in return - so that your mind and heart walk a little more hand in hand each day?

Beautifully written. Thank you Parul Diyora! I too, think that the mind should serve the heart, and too many times it's the other way around. By surrendering our "smartness" to heart-centered qualities of compassion and service, we can move into the realms of wisdom.

Leading with a heart of compassion and love brings the mind along, saying this is the right thing to do. When we over analyze things without using our hearts, we tend to make mistakes. Heart led intuition and thinking will usually lead to the best outcomes.

Surrender is not human and does not satisfy the innate nature of the homo sapien.
Understanding by knowing or experiencing are the only things that satiate and align the coexon.
The stathine coexon framework that is open source and helps humanity plan how to live as an individual as a family as a society and part of the whole ecosystem and enrich by harmonious Coexistence.
I am not proud or obstinate with full humility offer this for evaluation. Every single human being will evaluate and then accept whatever he finds resonance with.
To that Utopia we should march one at a time.
The journey from the mind to the heart is one of surrender of thinking, planning and calculating to one based on feeling and intuition. For me, the journey isn't about intelligence or becoming smarter but about care, courage, and integrity. Major times my heart stepped forward were in marrying my wife and loving her in sickness and in health, and in pursuing and staying with my profession which I loved including through difficult times. There are also many times my heart stepped forward in doing something kind for another goal free, expecting nothing in return. What shifted in me was realizing in my heart and not just in my mind that giving living is its own reward. Times I've lived that way have been times of some quiet blossoming for me. Times I've lived like that my heart has led and brought my mind along to walk a little more hand in hand (so to speak).

I could not yet find the words to describe what the pathway between heart and mind contains and makes possible, but here it is. And now it feels like I have opened a door to the current world where, amidst strive and rubble and sorrow and fear, THIS also is.

Ahhhh
My heart of hearts
Loves
Wants you to know
That you are loved
Respected
Heard
Seen
Safe
Unique
Understood
Trusted
Ahhhhhh
My mind thinks all those things
With bits of fear
Doubt
Self loathing
Desire to be validated
Wanting to be held
Unconditional completely enveloped
Trusted with your delicate vulnerability.
My mind can switch to anger
When afraid of dying before
It gets to somewhere that is not really a destination
But
A feeling that is summed up by love
Yet
Somehow
Never
Quite
Enough,

The heart is of the earth, where we actually live in our embodied reality. It is here, on earth where we can choose the kind of experience we want. And why not choose what is most delightful, least reactive, most generous, least fearful. After that, we return to from where we came and the dream ends. Why do we dream? Who knows...?

This reading touched something I have been living into for many years. I have come to see that the journey is not from the mind to the heart as though they were separate destinations. Rather, the mind becomes another way of listening once it is held by the heart. For much of my life I sought understanding through study, dialogue, and careful observation. Over time, I discovered that the deepest insights rarely arrived as answers. They emerged through pauses… through uncertainty… through what I now think of as the living spaces in between. In those moments, surrender was not giving up. It was relaxing my need to know before I could love. That shift changed how I relate not only to people but also to organizations, communities, and the living world. I have found that when we listen deeply—to our own bodies, to one another, and even to the land beneath our feet—something begins to resonate that cannot be produced by thought alone. Intelligence doesn’t disappear; it b... View full comment

Parul Diyora, the author if this wonderful passge makes me think and reflect on the life long journey we all are going through.. Mind thinks. Mind asks questions . It does not offer anwers.. The heart speaks. The language of the heart is unconditional love. I love my family, friends, my neighbors. and the community. I llove for the sake of loving. I do not expect any reward for offring my love to others. It is my love offering.my love to someone unconditionally. I do not expect any reward for loving that person. I love for the sake of loving. Love is the language of the heart,.As the heat unfolds, its fragrance

spreads everywhere. It has no boundaries of space and time, of caste and color. of rich and poor. It is a spiritual gift.
Our mind is not an enemy. It is our beloved friend. Our heart opens. It liberates us from our selfish-ceated miseries. Freedom at last!
Namste.
