--por William Wordsworth

Estas hermosas formas, a través de una larga ausencia, no han sido para mí como un paisaje para el ojo de un ciego: pero a menudo, en habitaciones solitarias y en medio del bullicio de pueblos y ciudades, les he debido, en horas de cansancio, dulces sensaciones, sentidas en la sangre y a lo largo del corazón;

How do you relate to the notion of being laid asleep in body and becoming a living soul? Can you share a personal story of a time you saw with an eye made quiet by the power of harmony and joy? What helps you see into the life of things?

Yes, this can be the experience in deep meditation of course. The eyes are shut. Thought settle down, the senses withdraw, and the heart and breathing slow down to almost zero for a short while. Then in that calm there can be an opening up of a different state of consciousness, an inner blissful unbounded wakefulness, an awakening, that is retained, or remembered, when the body needs you to 'come back'. And then the day-to-day waking state is infused with feelings of love for all creatures and creation and 'we see into the life of things' as we go around our daily lives.

Its a felt experience of each of us that nature in its wondrous beauteous forms always evokes an inward settling down , rapture and gratitude. We , in these times, all the more owe it to her to care and restore her

a beautiful poem that stretches my vocabulary and mind. I'm okay with putting the body to rest but I have faith the soul is awake now and will continue on.

I believe we are a living soul and may become aware of that. I agree with Anais Nin that we don't see life as it is, we see life as we are. To me, life is in harmony and in the joy of harmony. To me, the more I am in harmony and joy with life happening in and through me and am not fighting life in some way, I see with an eye made quiet by the power of harmony and joy. What helps me see into the life of things as it is is my being in harmony with life in me. When I am not in harmony and joy I see disharmony and lack of joy in life, that is, I see how I am more than see into the life of things.

When our body sleeps our souls are awake. Body represents our physical self bound by worldly desires. Physical self also represents birth and death. It represents a state of bondage- a state of blindness. It also represents attachment to desires. Our body is the first gift given by the Divine Being. It is up to us how we use this Divine gift. We may use our gift with discretion or without discretion. One way may cause physical problems. Then the body becomes a burden. The same body when used with discretion becomes a source of energy and vitality. It's upto us how we use this divine gift. The second gift is our mind. How we use this Divine Gift is up to us. Our mind may create a bondage or may create freedom, hell or heaven.. We need to make a wise choice. Wrong choice creates mental problems. It also creates emotional problems and relational problems. Like the first gift, the second gift needs to be used wisely. I am very fond of eating sweet food. I have learned the art of l... View full comment
