te apegas profundamente a esa negación.

First, this has me thinking about Kintsugi, the Japanese art of mending broken pottery with lacquer & gold highlighting & honoring the cracks rather than hiding them. The repaired vessel is considered more valuable than before it was broken. A deeply helpful and healing metaphor for our own lives.

'Insistence on perfection precludes growth' shows up for me like this: focusing so much on the perfection of writing/revisions/edits that the book took 6 years from the 1st draft to when it was finally published. Grad school 20 hours spent revising a 1000 word paper (of which there were 14 in the 10 month program + the larger project). Or in a more ordinary example, an hour spent continually revising an email before sending. What was the growth denied? Time to give more to the world around me. Growth in seeing the good enough already present. Liberation!

Service Space is for me, in my mind and heart, a “Universal Christ” community without naming itself at all…and yes, Mr. Rogers would also agree that we are all “perfect imperfection” in Divine LOVE.

Hoofnote: Don’t you just love that the author here is named Emmanuel, which means “God with us.”

Imperfection is a blessing to keep us engaged towards perfection.

Insistence as in trying or forcing doesn't work. When insistence goes against nature, you may interfere with nature for a while but eventually nature prevails. Real essential me or soul me is perfect. Ego me needs improving in that it says I'm not perfect which gets in the way of ego me realizing that real me is perfect. During those brief times that I know and abide in knowing that real me is perfect, I accept that my essence is perfect, and I feel release and at peace. What helps me be comfortable but not complacent with my imperfections is knowing that my imperfections are with my ego and my self-concept, not with my perfect real core self, and the improvement for me to make is with my ego. It helps me to know that is the the human condition, the destiny of being human which I share with every one.

It's my opinion based on my understanding that we all strive for Light, Light of unconditional love, Light of truth, and Light of deep fulfillment. First I need to see with clear eyes that my eyes are filled with darkness, with imperfections. Seeing the darkness and accepting it is a an essential step to see the light. I need to be comfortable in accepting it but not complacent with it. When I sincerely accept this truth I am moving in the direction of Love, Light , Joy and Fulfillmemt. Genuinely asking questions like what is my Dharma, the True way of living, the selfless ways of serving others and loving others uncondiotionally is essential for living a full life. Remaing awake and aware of my inner world, recognizing and accepting the darkness of ignorance and working on seeing the Light within is the way of liberating myself from me. It is the way of my inner Trnasformation. I realize this truth. I know it. However, there are times when I go back to sleep. Gratefully, the time o... View full comment

a friend told me, he focuses on his strengths and as that positive energy works within him, the weaknesses erode slowly on their own. its a case of whether we feed the white horse or the dark horse that decides which horse prevails. acknowledging imperfection (the horses) is key for us humans i think.

This is beautifully expressed--how I can accept my limitations and imperfections without feeling I'm letting myself down. What reassurance that I'm okay, doing the right thing by learning to forgive myself and love myself. How releasing, how validating, how to get on with my live and grow.
