As a young adult, Sister Gayatri Naraine had a soul recognition of her spiritual path and of "unfinished business" for this lifetime. For five decades since, she has been a student and senior teacher of the Brahma Kumaris, a global women-led spiritual movement with over a million members across 120+ countries. An educator, writer, and speaker, she has served as the group's primary representative at the United Nations in New York since 1980. She focuses on upstream pathways to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through spiritual transformation, based on her belief that sustainable outer change flows from inner change. She co-authored a concept paper on the spirituality of global transformation resulting from a 3-year dialogue with the UN Population Fund. She is a founding member of Call of the Time, a global leadership dialogue that incorporates "experiments in silence" in its design. In a time of great global upheaval, she seeks to amplify the enormous creative potential of this moment, urging leaders to begin with a shift in awareness.
