Brenda Salgado is a social activist and healer trained in traditional medicine whose work reflects a strong commitment to reclaiming our stories of wholeness, healing our connection with land and people, building regenerative cultures, and above all, empowering others. She guides numerous leading social justice organizations and activists in skillfully navigating today’s context of upheaval in economic, political and cultural systems.  "We need to stop asking the systems that are dying for permission to build the world we want. We need to just start building it together,” she says.

Brenda has been trained in traditional medicine in Mexico, by elders in Purepecha traditional healing, Xochimilco traditional healing with roses, and herbal medicine and ceremony from teachers in the U.S. and in Central America. At the heart of her healing method is relationship with plants, which to Brenda, are regarded as teacher, elder, family and friend.
