You have been telling people that this is the Eleventh Hour, now you must go back and tell the people that this is the Hour. And there are things to be considered…
Where are you living?
What are you doing?
What are your relationships?
Are you in right relation?
Where is your water?
Know your garden.
It is time to speak your truth.
Create your community.
Be good to each other.
And do not look outside yourself for your leader.
Then he clasped his hands together, smiled, and said, “This could be a good time! There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly. Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water.
And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate. At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally, least of all ourselves. For the moment that we do, our spiritual growth and journey come to a halt.
The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves! Banish the word ’struggle’ from your attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.
We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.
--Hopi Elders' Prophecy, June 8, 2000
The deepest Truths are not hidden from us;
They are hidden by us.
The most profound Truths
Are not profound due to their complexity,
but rather due to their simple deep insight
into who we are.
Note to self:
Stop trying to push the river
downstream. It will get there!
Trust and Let Go! (Duh!)
There’s something about the lines where’s your water , Know your garden that speak to me. I also make a connection between these lines and Kendrick Lamar’s dying of thirst.
Does anyone know how to reach the hopi elders? I would be greatful for information I need to travel there now.
We all should respect and honor the caretakers of the Earth !
This old whitewater guide has learned to be still, to listen, and to go with the flow.....and sometimes to row like hell.
I sincerely hope that the truth of this prophecy comes to pass, that we look within ourselves and see that we are the ones and that the hour is now.
I was just curious and have some questions to those that can answer. Every night I dream of white wolves being warned by a strange looking figure saying if continue to stay white and pure I will let you live. In this I am surrounded by elders guiding me and teaching me, however I am not Native American, well not enough to count for anything but why am I having these visions... I've had dreams but these are to consist and the drums of warning get louder. My family thinks I'm nuts but I'm not. I know what I've seen and it was either a memory or warning
Just this week I have become aware of the "rushing river" washing around me. Voices of strife and worry, anger and ego, fear and aggression were pointed out to me yesterday. They are far greater than I had been aware of.
I realize I am in the "boat". I must hold out my hand to all who are in the water. Some choose to stay in the water rather than join me. Some join together and release their ego.
My job is to hold out my hand to everyone regardless of who they are or what they have (or have not) said and done. This is where I must release my own ego. I will try to do my best.
Intuition always peeks out and sends us messages that are life changing. However, our presence of mind isn't always open to its message that would require us to reflect and change, so we tend to ignore it at the moment. This goes back and forth throughout our lives, I call them tides. The next big "tide" is even deeper, stronger and life changing in its message in other forms that we can't ignore and we are forced to make decisions from. This can immobilize us out of fear of the unknown. It is in our sitting in it, with it and working around it, with humility, the stillness and patience in waiting for its answer while maintaining peace of mind and presence too that we are living in the the ONE that is our innate wisdom. We then know what life really is and really isn't.
how i understood it! It is a wonderful piece of insight.
We have many many personalities, faces, upsanddowns, and we came thru all of it with different faces,.Now at the end of the game we are awaiting for.
WE ARE THE ONES WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR.
we with all the maturity, experience, and deep understanding, tolerance, patience, all good qualities developed at the end of our journey of life....yes we have been waiting forour own matured outlook our peaceful attire, our pleasant face......yes.....many thanks for the inspiration

One more comment about this. The passage reminds me of something I read last night from Eknath Easwaran's book "Take Your Time":
"In high school, I had read a story by H.G. Wells about a child who wanders down an unfamiliar street and spots a door in a plain white masonry wall. He opens it and discovers a garden where everything is welcoming and full of peace--a place where he belongs. The next day he tries to go back, but the door has disappeared.
Three or four times after that, as he grows into manhood and climbs the ladder of success, he turns a corner and happens to see the door again, just as he remembers it. He hesitates, but always he has something urgent to attend to and lets the moment go. The years pass and he attains fame and fortune, but he is haunted by regret that he never ventured through his door again.
When I read that story again in the middle of my life, I realized it applied to me. One detail that hadn't meant much when I was younger jumped out at me: every time that fellow sees his door in the wall again and decides to pass it by, he first looks at his watch. He can't take the time to stop to discover what he has always longed for.
In fact, the Buddha says, our constant hurrying is often a kind of anesthesia. It's not convenient to stop to ask big questions; it can even feel threatening. So long as we keep moving, we can put it off."[Hide Full Comment]
Wonderful! While reading this I had a moment of razor-sharp clarity that brought my entire being into the present moment. Just this moment. A gentle reminder that THIS IS IT! Thank you for the reminder...
