ખુલ્લા કિનારાના પ્રવાસી – પાંચો રામોસ
આજે વાદળ અને સાગર વચ્ચે ભેદ નથી
ક્ષિતિજ ઓગળી છે
નિરંતર લયબદ્ધતા થતાં
શ્વાસ એક તાલ થયો જણાઈ છે
ધરતી મા ના પહોળા ફેફસાં
અને આકાશગંગા ના એકીકૃત નૃત્ય થકી
બ્રહ્માંડ ના વાદળ ઘનીભૂત થઈને
જીવન અમૃત બન્યા
મોજાંની પીછેહઠ અને કિનારા નું સ્મિત
એક ગ્રહ ઉપર કરચલી અને ખંજન જેવું
જે આના પ્રત્યે જાગૃત છે તેના હ્રદયમાં
તેને નમ્રતાથી આનંદ નું ઘર બનાવ્યું છે
આજે વાદળ ની સ્થિરતા
સાગર નું ચલન
અને ઘનીભૂત આનંદમય માનવ મોજું
બધા એક છે
આજે ક્ષિતિજ નથી
ભવિષ્ય નથી, કે નથી ગંતવ્ય સ્થાન
આ ક્ષણ
માત્ર કરચલી અને ખંજન ભર્યું સ્મિત કરતો કિનારો
સાગર ની ધરતી
માનવદ્વીપ અને અફાટ મહાસાગર નું મિલન
જાણે દુર પ્રસરી ને ઓગળતું
જાણે એક સીડી સ્વર્ગ સુધી જઈને
તરત પાછી ફરે છે, ક્ષણભરમાં
આજ નું પાણી નું સંગીત અને નૃત્ય
તેના બધાં આકારો
અને જીવન લહરો
આ ભીની આગ, તરલ તારો
બધાં સરખાં અને એક છે.
આજે ધરતી નું હ્રદય મન
એક મહાઆનંદ નું સ્મિત છે
ખુશીથી લાલ આ ગ્રહ ના ગાલ
અને અખંડિત પ્રેમ નું અટ્ટાહાસ્ય
પાંચો રામોસ મેક્સિકોમાં જન્મેલા અને ખગોળશાસ્ત્રી માંથી માનવીય અધિકારો માટે લડતાં કાર્યકર્તા છે. તેમની “Occupy movement” પ્રખ્યાત છે. તેમનું કાર્ય હ્રદય જાગૃતિના પરિવર્તન તરફ કેન્દ્રિત છે.

Francisco 'Pancho' Ramos Stierle is a Mexican-born former astrophysics student turned full-time community activist and humanitarian. He became a known figure of the Occupy movement after being arrested while meditating during the dismantling of the Occupy Oakland Camp. His work has focused on sparking a heartmindfulness revolution. Poem above is taken from Pancho's poems.

It's the other way around, that is, it's the discovery of diversity within unity. Once upon a time, we humans noticed differences while living in unity; then we translated different to mean separate and lost the sense of all being part of unity; now we are rediscovering unity differentiated into many expressions. I became seriously interested in Buddhism about 15 years ago, joined an ongoing study group, learned/read/listened/reflected/meditated Eastern/Vedantic/unitive wisdom, and grew in appreciation of unity and diversity in unity. Diversity means different. Uniformity means the same. Diversity is pervasive. Every one and every thing is a different expression of one Unity. There is no uniformity even if we think there is or try to impose it.

I see it and experience it when I am aware of it without thinking about it, analyzing it, comparing it and contrasting it. In other words when I do not engage my mind dividing and fragmenting the wholeness of it. When I
