We live in a world of divisiveness and destruction by blindly adhering to our political, social, ethnic, cultural and religious identities. Such a narrow perspective has created destructive divisiveness. We have created Holy Wars. We need to learn to go beyond such narrow and destructive perspectives and relate to all people as children of God. If we don't we will create Hell instead of Heaven.
I am worried and sad to see the world going away from the We to Me attitude and actions. We need more harmony than divisiveness.
Great people in the world have crossed the bridge of divisiveness to join heads, hearts and hands to create harmony. In my opinion we all have our differences and we need to learn how to honor our differences regardless of caste, color, wealth, ethnic and religious orientations. It is time for us to move from Me to We.
I have learnt to live this wholesome way of living from great teachers like the Dalai Lama, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr, Thich Nahath Hanh, Mother Terresa, Rabindranath Tagore and Vinoba Bhave. We can cultivate Universal Identity, Cosmic Identity or Unitive Consciousness by living mindfully and compassionately. There is an ancient wisdom saying in Sanskrit: Udar charitanam tu vasudhaivam kutumbakam-Those who are noble hearted relate to the whole world as their family.
May we expand our consciousness and cultivate Unitive Consciousness.
Namaste!

I couldn't have expressed this any better, thank you! Yes, we need to absolutely start to look at each other as part of the whole and not cause pain and suffering to others as it hurts ourselves as well. Interconnected in this world. Even if we adhere to a religion but we must also be open to others' religions as well as inclusive and find the commonalities they embody.

Thanks to all who’ve commented. I have an essay to write for college about the philosophies of pluralism and your comments have really shaped my thoughts about the need for a holistic future for this planet. Thank you.
