Hope I think is something that helps us take action, take those little steps in the darkness without which we could freeze in times of helplessness. Hope is that ignition that dwells courage. Without hope we would be lost.
Beautifully said- Try to read between the lines ..... try to listen between the words.... to hear the universe.
Lost in the words and the lines, and trying to make meaning wih our analytical mind, which has been sharpened by our education system, we miss the real essense of the passages, the journey, the story...
Showing us to to "Being present more than the body and mind."
Anger is when we are out of balance within and disconnected with our own selves and hence makes it harder to connect with others leave alone with love.
With love and compassion, we are centered and balanced and reach out with love and compassion for others
I used to find it strange when people are angry. I used to be scared of drunken men as they behaved abnormally and I put this anger under the same category.
My FIL had bad temper. Most of the times I couldn’t figure out why he was angry. He would behave strange, shouting loudly, his face would change and become red. He was also a very jovial person. Two distinct features. I was always confused not sure when he’ll laugh and when he will suddenly burst his anger.
One day he was angry and shouting and I gathered some courage. I told him there was no reason for him to be angry and explained that it was not anyones fault. I was shocked as he started crying. “Oh my goodness, did I do something wrong ?†Was the first thing that came to me. But then I held him and let him cry. My MIL too was a witness and she remained silent. I never saw him angry after that and he had become a calm and contended person. My Pranaams to him. Yesterday was his 12th anniversary.
Science, in trying to prove the cause and effect, has destroyed creativity. The awe of the nature is turned to some logical explanation and competition, leading to conflicts and one better than another. In this process, lives have lost their true purpose of being.
As I read this and recollect my life…
Having lost the house, business, loved ones ….not sure of what was happening, but everything was gone in a jeffy. The ground broke loose and everything that I thought was mine was lost. The lifetime of building it all up was shattered. No amount of effort to protect it helped. It’s all history, but as I read this, all comes alive and as I write this, I shed the tears of pain again. Knowing and understanding fully well, the universe has put me on to another trajectory which is greater than all that I thought I built. The joy of being in the womb of this creation negates all the hurt and pain that I think causes due to your past,
Understanding the concept of impermanence and to celebrate it by recreating has beena way of being. My mom used to recreate beautiful cushions, table covers, mattresses, tapestry from old clothes. We learnt from her to reuse, recreate and renew the broken , torn and withered stuff. I took this concept to my workplace in reducing the wastage using the slogan. I love how it has been given a name "theart of Kingsugi". Things happen in life, leave alone materials, hearts break, but to learn to celebrate is something we can learn from this art and to know that every event, every creation is beautiful, it is what we make out of it. I use this practice of converting everything in your heart to love and this is what I see Kintsugito be.
Wonderful story in the art of giving. As I read this, Gift becomes an acronym that is "Generosity intensifying fraternity togetherness"
Gift being an act of inclusiveness. That my offerings also matter, to make one feel belonged. As much as gifting is a great gesture, receiving is even bigger. I used to feel obliged to receive anything from anyone. I could give generously, but to receive was hard. It meant to seem like in lack or greedy or that you had to pay back in return, something In those terms. To accept with freedom requires a big heart as much as giving does.
Wonderful. Life is a flow between love and wisdom, between I am everything and nothing.
Life is the creation, is love. To realize this love and be in the flow, awakens the wisdom. To experience this awakening is to be alive.
Nasruddin couldn’t hear his wife’sresponsebut thought shewas deaf.
Many times we land in the similar situation. The most common I catch myself is when I ask the other if they would like to eat or are hungry and most times it’s me who will want to eat.
Bringing my awareness to the present brings me to catch myself if there is a judgement and alsoReflecting on my response do.
Truly resonate with ilie Cioara.
My experience of nothingness or emptiness is in the moment of pause, which is the momentbetween the in-breathand the out-breath, is that moment of absolute bliss. The bliss is us, within us, at every moment of our breath. This moment is the experience of "Unity with the Universe". The experience of "Unity is Divinty", the one-ness with the Divine!
I resonate with the words - "we might bejust one breath away from enlightenment ordeath or who knows."
Truly it's the mystery of being in the NOW as Ram Dassbeautifully mentions in this context " the game is where you are ".
Realize it is the most difficult thing to do especially during this pandemic, as the mind gets pulled in different directions of the happenings around. That said, it is also the best time to practice being in the "NOW" and accepting " All that IS". The authenticity is to play the game being fully present to oneself.
