"With every breath, the old moment is lost; a new moment arrives. We exhale and we let go of the old moment. It is lost to us. In doing so, we let go of the person we used to be. We inhale and breathe in the moment that is becoming. In doing so, we welcome the person we are becoming. We repeat the process. This is meditation. This is renewal. This is life." --Lama Surya Das
Welcome to this Virtual Awakin Circle! Even though this is hosted from Hertfordshire, UK, everyone is welcome to join. Inspired by global Awakin Circles, this is an online gathering that meets once a week (usually on Fridays at 6.45pm UK time).
These gatherings have no set agendas, no teachers or proposed beliefs - they are simply a space to come together to listen to ourselves and to one another. There is no cost to attend; it is a simple offering in the spirit of co-creating a space for deeper wisdom to emerge, in silence and in community with others.
To join the next gathering click on the RSVP tab to sign-up. To stay updated with future gatherings, simply click on the Connect tab and send a message to the host. You will then be emailed as more information is available.
6:30pm (Optional) A pre-circle opportunity to co-create a space for heartful sharing and connecting with one another.
6:45pm Sit in collective silence for 30 minutes. This is unguided, without any instructions or music. For first-timers, this primer on meditation may be helpful.
7:15pm A short reading (sent out earlier via email), followed by a circle of sharing reflections on the themes and values raised in this passage.
8:15pm A minute of silence before saying our goodbyes.
Serendipity typically brings together 6 - 8 diverse folks.
We are profoundly grateful that our paths have crossed in this sacred way. Please do get in touch if you have any questions. We look forward to growing in stillness and service, together.
