Cynthia: Thank you. I'm gonna squeeze in one last question from one of our listeners, because it's such an appropriate, beautiful way to close this time together. Helen says, thank you for this offering. You mentioned that heart coherence can be transmitted at a distance. How does this work on Zoom, since we are often in this situation, right now?
Rollin McCraty: Yeah, it's actually some work we just published last year. This is one of those surprises that I wouldn't have predicted, actually. Well, what we found, we looked at groups of 20 people in each group and 5 groups around the world, and we were doing continuous monitoring over a two-week period. This isn't directly answering your question, but it is important because what we found in the two of those groups that had a high degree of social connection, a lot of psychological safety, they liked each other, even though they weren't together.
It's in the same region, that their heart rhythms were actually synchronized over the entire two-week period. Okay, this is amazing, and this implies that when we are in groups where we form positive connections. It's kind of what I was talking about earlier, that we form a non-local field that is interconnecting those group members, where we are sharing energy and information across the group. Now, the groups that didn't have that degree of social connection didn't have that.
So that doesn't matter if you build that connection on Zoom. Right? Or in your family or your work team. It's the energetics.
So this is pretty revolutionary kind of findings, and we actually got that published in one of the Nature journals. Took some dirt.
Cynthia: I think.
Rollin McCraty: Well, one of the reviewers just said, this is impossible, and put us through all kinds of maneuvers and additional analysis. He finally gave up and said, okay. It's a real, real thing here, so… A lot of information.
