Cynthia: Oh, sorry. How can we design processes for humanity and AI to harmoniously coexist? Does AI have a heart? In your opinion.
Rollin McCraty: Yeah, I was… well, in my opinion, no. Not yet, I mean… the… Yeah, I would say for a very long time, maybe even centuries. Humanity, individuals and humanity at large has really kind of valued its worth, maybe in its purpose, by the amount of accumulated knowledge that we have and we possess. And then here comes AI.
And almost overnight. I mean, pretty much instantly, the value of knowledge is collapsed. I mean, AI is amazing. I can learn very deep insights to anything I want very quickly.
And I use it for that. It's a great tool. But so that suddenly, that knowledge… Base as our self-worth and our… Has quietly but profoundly been shaking the foundations of ourself and our self-worth. So it… if… Knowledge is the domain of the… well, basically, I would say knowledge is the domain of the mind.
Right? Whereas wisdom is the domain of the heart. That, that deeper wisdom. So knowledge is free now, and it's abundant.
So this really invites a new domain, a new level of human, I think, human evolution. Where we start to really access the deeper aspect of the heart, or what we here at HeartMath call heart intelligence. Which AI doesn't really have authentic care, doesn't have intuition. That deeper connection to who we really are, and our larger self, and our deeper purpose.
And that capacity for true heart connection with others. I mean, if we're intelligent about how we use AI, it can help us get there, that AI itself.
Cynthia: To it.
Rollin McCraty: I would say it's hard for me to imagine a computer chip having access to a spirit. Or to a higher self.
