Rollin McCraty: So that was pretty cool, and I was shocked that nobody had ever done this before. It was really easy to do. This wasn't that hard. And the only person that had even come close was a guy named Gary Swartz, but hadn't quite done it to that level.
Then, so the next step in our research was to say, well, that's cool, so what? Is there a so what? So then the next question was, well, are those fields being received by the nervous systems of other people in a measurable way? Are they affecting others?
And that was pretty easy to do, too. That's where the heart-brain synchronization between people kind of came in as the next step of that. We were doing it with mothers and babies, and different things. I mean, of course we are reading people's emotions through the tone of their voice and body language, but there's another level of that that's always going on.
For most people, I would say, under their level of conscious awareness. But there's an energetic communication that's also occurring. So this is where getting ourselves coherent and those coherence practices start being key, and I would even say critical, in our relational dynamics. But this shouldn't be surprising.
We all know this. Right? I mean, how many times have you walked into a room.
