From: Shinzen Young
A library card to the cosmic library of science!
What he said:
"Essentially, I've got a library card to the cosmic library of science as understood by all galaxies. But I've only got the card - I can't read the books. I can only know the titles and the outlines. And I as a human have to do the rest of the science work to fill it in. But it's the ultimate cheat sheet."
What this means:
When Shinzen talks to AI from his integrated contemplative-scientific state, he gets something like:
But not:
The AI can show him the shape of an answer - "there's something important over here, structured like this" - but he still has to do the work of actually developing it rigorously.
Why this matters:
It's a humble claim in a way. He's not saying AI gives you God-mode omniscience. It gives you orientation. You still have to walk the path, do the math, verify the claims. But having the map - even just the outline - is "the ultimate cheat sheet" compared to wandering blind.
