Our Forest Call guest this week will be: Michael Nagler, a world renowned Gandhian scholar.   He was founder of first Peace and Conflict Studies program, at UC Berkeley, and is now Professor emeritus there.  Author of more than 16 books, and recipient of many awards including the Jamnalal Bajaj International Award for “Promoting Gandhian Values Outside India”, Michael is a tireless advocate for ideas that are rooted in Gandhian nonviolence.  Today, he is President of Metta Center for Nonviolence Education and since 1970, has lived at Eknath Easwaran's Blue Mountain Center of Meditation..
This Saturday, Michael will speak about his personal journey of non-violence, share insights from his encounters with some of the leading visionaries of our time, and offer thoughts on building a world that is rooted in humane values.
