The Science of Happiness

Rick Hanson is a graduate of UCLA, a neropsychologist, and the author of several books, most recently “Hardwiring Happiness". Dr. Hanson is an authority on self-directed neuroplasticity - the effects of mental attention, focus, thought, and behavior on brain structure, emotional states, and the quality of life experience.
 
Rick is the founder of "Wellspring Institute for Neuroscience and Contemplative Wisdom", and among other duties, has served on the board of Spirit Rock Meditation center, been a trustee of Saybrook University, and an Advisory Board Member of Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center. He has also been an invited speaker at Oxford, Stanford, and Harvard, and taught in meditation centers worldwide..
