My nature is to act-to try and fix, to assist in others healing. My own "healing" started when I stopped and was present.
I find what is NOT said is as important a what is said. I have to remind myself to pause and reflect/listen instead of preparing a reply and missing something precious
When I stepped out of my safe comfort zone and went to work overseas- different culture-language-New skills and expectations of who I am and what I could be capable of.
I work in healthcare- I try to take the sadness and pain and look past to a healing that may not be physical and try to share hope.
