Seems like you all are on a journey to find God. Be in a state of eshan = God consciousness every second. That will elevate you. It’s pretty simple concept but hard to stay in that flow as this world operates in organized chaos.
When I am connected in and with nature, from there I can expand into that glimpse of „world (h)as a Soul“. Then there is smile of gratitude on my face, that I am able to sense this......may be a BOW will follow....
At the age of being a 6 year old kid, I suvived an accident, hit by a car - a guardian angel had been at work (as I have been told by parents, doctors, police, neighbours....)
While listening deeply to the whispering and also wake-up-calls of high alertness, „katchinas“ (Kachinas are spirits or personifications of things in the real world...., may be the transmitters of upper with lower worlds...)...are part of my practices to consider my own necessities next to listen to and with all of my senses...

Dear ALL,
in deep humbleness I am holding mySELF in AWE&WONDER when the seed grows into blossoming. Indeed it has its own process and MOMENTS of the interwoveness discribed as „Chaos“. I like to CARE and hold mySELF in the high and ongoing attendive awareness of „whats needed“.....and „LISTENING“ (=sensing, feeling, attuning,.....)
Readying mySELF to serve, whats needed, if.....
Once I have „done“ all that, in readying.....I can let go and surrender mySELF into ALL and be with it.
So the profan assists/serves the profound (and vice versa) and while holding mySELF&ALL in that awareness, I have done what I need to do.....til the next experience when light is turning on its „calling“ to listen again and learn/see/....and serve again.
Thanks for listening.

This is a most complex question that I have reflected on since I began teacher training 56 years ago. I think we have to place the child, not the curriculum, at the centre. As teachers, we should have a deep educational and philosophical understanding of what is important and ask more questions to assess both our values and the value of everything we ask of children. Perhaps we need to redefine concepts of success and failure, competition and cooperation, value emotional intelligence over A grades, encourage creativity and promote the Arts. There is a direct correlation between lack of provision in dance, drama, music and art and decline in mental health of students. In my opinion, building self esteem is probably the most important thing we have the opportunity to do. So much of what we ask of students works against that - we set them up to fail and they ‘earn’ a C label that will probably stick with them for life. Examining what we, as adults really believe and value, throwing away the labels and grades, working with integrity, instigating a ‘Happiness curriculum’ and putting students before systems might be a start. I’ve always believed in human potential - it’s who you are as a person and what you can become, rather than what you know. Our educational systems around the world should promote and facilitate that.
Dear Francis,
forgot to ask you:
How DO you practice this?
Any hints?
Thanks

Dear Francis, ....the one who likes to „think“ in interrelatednesses.....
Thanks for this hint so that my „ordinary“ mind prepares himself/itself to get ready to transmute for my HEARTmind....in a way your suggested formular of EQUANIMITY has become the „red carpet“ for mySELF to access this state of BEing very intentionally.
REALITY - EXPECTATION - NARRATIVES = EQUANIMITY
WOW. How do I like this? ;-))
Thanks for that.

Dear Sandip, thanks for your reference to addiction....
For me it has nothing to do with addiction, it is my brilliant mind as a helper who has contributed 68 years for becoming who I am....
A N D
realizing, if I am reducing mySELF into any limitation....I am lost and moving away from the purity of this power of NOW....
an I rell you I love this power of NOW.....unconditional
Thanks

Dear Sigurd....in particular when any pain and/or pleasure or anything else is coming in and starts to cover the purity of the moment....
YES. Thanks.

Dear Sigurd,....one who is dealing with the power of thoughts, feelings and deeds....already when they are still in the „stage before“ awareness....
How juicy....
Thanks

Dear streams....
like your radical pureness to stay / integrate ALL what is (not even into it, because it implies already a sort of Separation....;-)
.... being a witness with all what is includes my judgements too and more and ALL....
thanks for the invitation to be here , there, beyond ....inALL.....and not running cracy.... and even if this might happen.....readying mySELF to witness.....;-)

.... and only with that
keeping mySELF in this: ONLY!

Dear Prasad, thanks for sharing and contributing/investing into a profound - if not one of most profund - insights, getting ready for breakthoughs:
„.....When I am able to witness .....“ (....I am able to find balance, nurturing and warmth and find compassion spreading to me and the other at the same time......
in the purity of itSELF and keep mySELF within that (...even no balance, ...nurturing....warmth....compassion....spreading nothing.....)
my guess is, I will be there in the NOW, only....and be with it......
I am chciking out how this will go...
THANKS.

While it is nice to see this hear, it would have been lovely if you had asked permission to re-publish my article.
Good sir- physiologically, with regard to the Autonomic Nervous system, which is what I am writing about in this post, we wear our hearts on our faces and in our voices. The literal signal of our heart-rate variability is expressed through these circuits. That is what I'm saying. I do not see people as machines. The nervous system is, one might say, the altar of the spirit. Our work comes exploring the ways that our autonomic nervous systems, which are the neural architecture of the mind-body connection, shape our visceral state, sense of identity, our emotions, cognitions, how we interpret what is happening around us, and how we behave. This is not machine-like, but it is determined by our felt sense of safety versus threat. Understanding the way that the autonomic system, which is beneath cognition, shapes these facets of our experience opens the opportunity for transforming them. If we don't understand the nature of ice, it is more difficult to melt. Our work unites neurophysiology and mindfulness. If these fields are not brought together, many modern people practicing mindfulness are in fact practicing dissociation.
This is the subject of our work at the Restorative Practices Alliance, and what I've spent the past 25 years studying.

I Heard this tonight in my Yoga Retreat by Imagine Academy. Truely touched and mostly a reminder. My Tears are Tears of Joyâ£ï¸
There are no insufficient people. We see ourselves in others...so we feel we are insufficient and project and/or mirror that onto others. The way to restore unconditional love for others is to love ourselves unconditionally.
Following the Kenow Fire event and evacuation here in SW Alberta (Sept. 11-12.17) I was finally able to walk from my home down the road in the direction of the fire (Waterton Lakes National Park). I was suddenly stopped by the incredible light surrounding a stand of trees which I'd passed many times in previous walks. The light was so golden and beautiful. Then I heard the trees speak to me of their grief in losing their brothers and sisters in the Park. I too had been grieving (the eventual loss was tallied at 70% of the trees in the Park). I responded with my tears and spoke of our shared grief with them, silently from my heart. I was fixed to the spot; my husband had gone on ahead, but stopped when he realized I was standing still by the road. I cannot pass that place without greeting the Standing Ones and stopping for a moment to honour them.
I see my perceptions tied closely to my past experiences. So I try to stay curious. I constantly find myself asking what assumptions I carry with me and if they serve me well or hold me back. In doing so, I have found myself choosing to discard many old assumptions and taking only those with me that move me positively forward.
