I could not yet find the words to describe what the pathway between heart and mind contains and makes possible, but here it is. And now it feels like I have opened a door to the current world where, amidst strive and rubble and sorrow and fear, THIS also is.
How beautifully put - thanks.
"Each of us is an artist" - indeed. And if we allow ourselves to be the artist and it bubbles up and appears in our daily activities humor is but a breath away. As evidence of the meeting of science, art, and perhaps even spirituality. As movement artist now also engaging with Social Presencing Theatre practices I witness the patterns in my own life, especially. Where and how I become contracted and stifled through self-doubt and lack of courage and the pattern of opening to quiet confidence and courage.
Softness.... The word itself holds such softening power. I feel how my having to get it right, be knowledgeable, earn respect, perform well, have created hardening edges. Recently I observed an elderly teacher and was touched by her openness to all and everyone, regardless of their excellence or shortcomings, and I could feel her gesture as "all is welcome". How much shifts into softness when I hold that attitude to myself and others!
Pause a moment. Stop thinking. See. Listen. Feel. Hear. Taste. Stay long enough with each to notice fine aspects.
