Birds of all species have always been my beloved companions and guardians since the very beginning first memory hearing the morning and evening Robin's song or chant or prayer or blessing.
I was indeed blessed this spring while meditating outside, practicing the noting of the various birdsong. After a short while, I felt the unmistakeable squeeze of a bird's clawed foot. I was relaxed and didn't move at the touch. Not wanting to startle it, I cracked my eyes open to see a pair of sparrows - one with a red breast standing just beside the female clutching on to my big toe. I closed my eyes, filled with appreciation and gratitude. A miraculous affirmation of allowing wellbeing.
This is a most wonderfilled podcast. I encourage everyone to listen the full length version.

The wild ones are coming close, very close now. Last evening it was a fox - five feet away. It came up and paused still, I thought it was a coyote. I was startled, he knew I was safe and came closer, walked around a bit, then sat down and we stared into each other's eyes - he had one black ear, black paws and the most exquisite coat and tail....

Thank you Kristin, so beautifully and clearly expressed. Your example of willingness and patience with your feelings/emotions is an inspiration to me in this moment. When we feel uncomfortable, it's not always easy to stay with the discomfort long enough to fully release. Hug to you!

For me the golden eternity is Being Present - consciously in the present moment is timeless or time full. It is my peace, balance, equanimity, surrender, truth and absolute oneness with all that is, or with one, in this NOW moment. When I am here, "everything is alright forever and ever" always. I give the mind one point of focus at a time, i.e. deep active listening to another, carefully observing what's going on around me or studying an object giving it complete attention utilizing all senses where needed in harmony with watching the thoughts go by....living in meditation. What miracles occur!

WE already ARE exactly like this tree - we've just been taught otherwise, and consequently forgotten our heritage. Our simple presence is so much more than we realize.....Gratitude, Blessings and Om Shanti!

Yes, yes yes Ganoba. Grateful for your words. As more of us, one by one "drops the protective suit" more and more of the time as a regular living practice - we inspire others to do the same. Living the Change one person at a time :)
