"Watching a movie with my family, the other day, we contemplated for a good half of the movie about its theme. Although, not apparent at first, the lesson behind the movie was simple but crucial. Similarly, as I've started to meditate, I find that its benefits are quite subtle but its simple lessons have very important ramifications.

From the movie, and from my meditations, I've learned one important message: our happiness lies in our ability to love. We use the three words, I Love You, so easily in our day to day language, but how many of us can say to ourselves that we TRULY love someone? Love is a phenomenon that is universal and can only be felt to its fullest when we've forgotten about ourselves, our fears, our aspirations, and any other selfish motives we might have. Why? Because love is the art of GIVING entirely.

From meditation, I expect to learn how to love because by meditating, we penetrate through our mental noise and really learn to understand our nature. In doing so, we overcome the hurdles that keep us from the experience of that deep love and a full life."
