Tribute to Conrad Pritscher
Conrad was a life-long student: high-school in Illinois, Bachelor's degree from St. Mary's in Minnesota, Masters from Depaul, PhD in philosophy of education in Ohio, postgraduate psychology program at Gestalt Institute in Cleveland. As if that was not enough, he started attending a Zen Temple in his 40s, and that has continued to give him insights into his own nature. Husband of Kay, father of 4 children, and grandfather to his grand children, his family has brought him some of the happiest moments of his life.
In late May of 2014, he sent out a remarkable note to his friends -- about being diagnosed with terminal cancer. His grace and poise through that process inspired many. In July, as his physical health deteriorated, we hosted him on a magical Awakin Call with two ServiceSpace friends by his side. (More here.)
Over the years, he posted comments every week on the weekly Awakin reading. We archived those comments and turned it into a book (which he happily received before he passed away). The book is available as an iBook, and also as a PDF below.
