"The practice of meditation is an act of kindness, for others as well as for yourself."|
At every Awakin Circle, few of us come together to sit in silence for an hour, share some aha-moments for the second hour and share a meal afterwards. There no teachers, or agendas. Inspired by many others around the globe, Awakin Circles offer a space to come together and share in a context of stillness, community and service.
Our circle is not a religious or commercial venture. It is the creation of a time and space where we can step out of our hurly-burly lives and gain insight about ourselves. No agenda -- just a belief in inner change. :)
To join the next circle in Pune, simply sign-up in the right column and you'll be sent an email with more information. The rough format of the evening is as follows:
||An hour of collective silence; its unguided, without any instructions or music. For first-timers, this primer on meditation may be helpful.
||A short reading (sent out earlier via email), followed by a circle of personal stories and reflections from everyday life.
||A home-cooked vegetarian meal is offered in silence.
There is no charge and no one is expected to bring anything. People organically "pay-it-forward" to the world in their own ways.
