At every Awakin Circle, few of us come together to sit in silence for an hour, share some aha-moments for the second hour and share a meal afterwards. There no teachers, or agendas. Inspired by many others around the globe, Awakin Circles offer a space to come together and share in a context of stillness, community and service.
Our circle is not a religious or commercial venture. It is the creation of a time and space where we can step out of our hurly-burly lives and gain insight about ourselves. No agenda -- just a belief in inner change. :)
To join the next circle in Pune, Nigdi, India, simply sign-up in the right column and you'll be sent an email with more information. The rough format of the evening is as follows:
7:00PM An hour of collective silence; its unguided, without any instructions or music. For
first-timers, this primer on meditation may be helpful.
8:00PM A short reading (sent out earlier via email), followed by a circle of sharing of "aha" moments from everyday life.
9:00PM Vegetarian meal, offered in silence. Those who stay afterwards are invited to offer time for local community projects.
There is no charge and no one is expected to bring anything. People organically "pay-it-forward" to the world in their own ways.
