"Meditation is not a means to an end; there is no end, no arrival; it is a movement in time and out of time. Every system, method, binds thought to time, but choiceless awareness of every thought and feeling, understanding of their motives, their mechanism, allowing them to blossom, is the beginning of meditation." ‑‑J. Krishnamurti

Every month, many of us gather together to sit in silence, share our stories and inspiration in circle (prompted by a short parable or reading sent in advance), and have a simple, home-cooked meal together that is prepared by the host. These gatherings have no set agendas, no teachers or proposed beliefs -- they are simply a space to come together to listen to ourselves and to one another. There is no cost to attend; it is a simple offering in the spirit of co-creating a space for deeper wisdom to emerge, in silence and in community with others. These circles have spread organically around the world through word-of-mouth. They are fluid, and so whoever shows up each time creates the right group.

Our typical circle has this format ...

5:00PM   Arrive promptly before either 5 PM or 5:30 PM for 60 minutes or 30 minutes (as you choose) of collective silence; unguided, without any instructions or music. For first-timers, this primer on meditation may be helpful.

6:00PM   A short reading, followed by a circle of sharing of "aha" moments from everyday life for those who feel internally guided or inspired to speak. Please note that those who are moved to share are encouraged to do so; for those who prefer to simply listen and remain in silence (and pass on the opportunity to share aloud), that is completely fine.

6:45PM   Home-cooked vegetarian meal, and general interaction.

There is no charge and no one is expected to bring anything. People organically "pay-it-forward" to the world in their own ways.
