Awakin Bucharest, Romania

"In India, when we meet and greet and we say 'Namaste', which means: I honor the place in you where the entire universe resides, I honor the place in you of love, of light, of truth, of peace. I honor the place within you where if you are in that place in you and I am in that place in me, there is only one of us." ‑‑Ram Dass

Every week, a few of us come together to sit in silence for an hour, share some aha-moments for the second hour and often have a light meal afterwards. There no teachers, or agendas. Inspired by many others, who have done this for decades, Awakin Circles offer a space to come together and share in a context of stillness, community and service.

To be notified of the next Circle, simply sign-up in the right column and you'll be sent an email with more information.

The rough format of the evening goes something like this:

7:00PM   Collective silence for an hour. It is unguided, without any instructions or music. For
first-timers, this primer on meditation may be helpful.

8:00PM   A short reading in English and Romanina, followed by a circle of sharing.

8:30PM   A home-cooked vegetarian meal, offered in silence.

Those who wish to stay afterwards are invited to help with the dishes, and/or arranging the room back.

There is no cost to attend, nor any solicitations; everything is offered as a humble gift and people "pay it forward" to the world in their own ways.

Previous Events
