Speaker: Marianna Cacciatore

Generosity and Grief

Every week, we have a "Forest Call" to share insights and inspiration from various corners of the ServiceSpace ecosystem.  Typically, the call opens with a circle of sharing, then features a guest speaker and is followed by dynamic Q&A around the emergent themes.
Our guests this week will be: Marianna Cacciatore!  Author of Being There for Someone in Grief, executive director of Bread for the Journey that encourages neighborhood philanthropy, and long-time seeker of life's deepest mysteries, Marianna  will share stories from her journey, speak about her latest experiments in shifting our cultural consciousness towards greater good, and the lessons she's learning.   She quotes Naomi Nye to illustrate her journey: "Before you know kindness as the deepest thing inside, you must know sorrow as the other deepest thing. Then it is only kindness that makes sense anymore, only kindness that ties your shoes and sends you out into the day to mail letters and purchase bread."
